Mellow Bakers

The Mellow Bakers is a challenge created by Paul from Yumarama, dedicated to baking through Jeffrey Hamelman's amazing book Bread: A Baker's Book of Techniques and Recipes. This challenge is mellow (as the name implies), with three breads randomly selected from different sections of the book each month. This book has been furthering my bread baking education with a more scientific presentation of the bread baking process, geared towards professional bakers as well as home bakers, but less detailed recipes, allowing for more experimentation on my part.

The best part of this challenge (for me ~ apart from the delicious bread recipes) is the awesome Mellow Bakers forum that Paul created, in which members discuss their experiences with each bread (as well as bread baking in general). Jeffrey Hamelman himself even joined our group and gave us some pointers!!
